GarmentsCart

New standard for clothes shopping.

A universal cart for garment retail chains. Customers keep their hands free, clothes stay on their hangers and the store stays in order, from the racks to the fitting room and the cash register.

01 · Problem

Shopping for clothes still means carrying them

Frequent visits to clothing chain stores reveal the same picture: customers walk around with an armful of garments, and the store pays for it with mess, wrinkled stock and lost sales.

Arms full of clothes

Customers have to carry many garments at once, usually draped over their shoulders or arms.

Browsing gets harder

It is difficult to browse freely. Customers cope by putting products back carelessly, and only occasionally use the carts, bags and baskets available.

Frustration in the queue

Without a good solution, some clothes are simply left somewhere in the store. Standing in line with a lot of items adds to customers’ frustration and discomfort.

Borrowed grocery carts

There are known cases of customers “borrowing” a cart from a grocery store. It shows how determined people are to make clothes shopping easier.

Wrinkled before they are sold

All of this looks unattractive and, on top of that, clothes get wrinkled before they are even sold.

Space taken, problem unsolved

Current options take up a lot of space regardless of the store format. Bags with limited capacity do not solve the problem of carrying or wrinkling clothes.

Stores have identified a need

The fact that stores offer the solutions shown below means they have identified a need. However, they have not found the right option.

02 · Solution

A cart designed specifically for clothes

Fortunately, there is now a solution: a universal clothing store cart designed specifically for clothes shopping. Garments hang on it on their own hangers and the cart moves around the store together with the customer.

GarmentsCart: a brushed steel cart with a curved arm, hanger hooks and four wheels

From the customer’s perspective

Shopping without the burden

  1. Free hands: no carrying many, often a dozen, heavy garments over your arm at the same time.
  2. Moving around the store freely while comfortably browsing other clothes.
  3. Not blocking other customers’ access to clothes on the racks.
  4. Easier organisation in the fitting room, with no need to hang clothes back on hooks.
  5. Less fatigue while waiting in line for the cash register or the fitting room.
  6. Bringing a larger number of items to the fitting room or cash register comfortably and effortlessly.

From the perspective of store staff and the chain

Order on the shop floor

  1. Better control over the number of garments customers take to the fitting rooms.
  2. A more organised store, especially near the fitting rooms and at the entrance.
  3. Protection of clothing from unnecessary wrinkling and possible later ironing.
  4. Longer product lifespan thanks to less damage.
  5. Support in meeting the requirements of the so-called clothing directive.
  6. Fewer losses, which means better financial results.

Designed to line up

The carts take up as little space in the store as possible and intuitively invite and encourage customers to line them up one after the other.
